Paul Parsons

Graphic Designer turned AI Art Pioneer

Paul Parsons (b. 1986) began his career as a graphic designer in the UK. After nearly 15 years, Parsons delved into the cutting-edge, yet controversial, world of generative Artificial Intelligence. Drawing on pop-culture for inspiration, Parsons harnesses the new technology to put his own spin on recognizable characters, blending them digitally with unexpected mediums or places. Such as snapshots of the Joker on vacation or busts of superheroes like Batman and Superman rendered in ornately painted porcelain. By juxtaposing the subject, material, and context, Parsons creates new narratives that prompt us to view familiar characters from a different perspective. As a pioneer of AI-generated art, Parsons has worked commercially with a number of iconic brands seeking to explore the ways in which this new technology is applied; most recently, he was tapped by Coca Cola to help launch their “Create Real Magic” campaign. In 2023, Parsons signed on for exclusive gallery representation with AI Gallery, a cutting-edge fine art platform launched by Avant Gallery.
